What are your contributions to the team?
In your role, you will be supported by the electrical systems manager as a Professional – Engineering – Electrical Systems Integration in a multifaceted position within the Functional Engineering Team. At Bombardier, the Electrical System Integration team is responsible to develop, certify, improve, and maintain the best industry standards for the Electrical Power Generation & Distribution systems and lighting systems architectures on our airplanes. Our team supports all Bombardier products. In this role, you will:
· participate in the Electrical Systems technical improvements & developments for our existing and future airplane programs (optimize architectures, incorporate new technologies, etc.),
· prepare/review engineering documents related to electrical system changes on our Challenger 3500/650 and Global 5500/6500/7500/8000 airplanes (production + in-service aircraft),
· propose, elaborate, and test novel approaches to optimize our business airplanes on aspects such as: emissions reduction, costs, weight, performance, customer satisfaction, etc,
· contribute to trade studies associated to new technology introduction and integration on aircraft,
· learn and contribute to the Electrical Knowledge Domain to capture lessons learned and best industry practices (product & process),
· manage interfaces with internal & external partners and suppliers for technical aspects,
· represent the Electrical discipline with internal and external collaborators.
How to thrive in this role?
As our ideal candidate, you:
· hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering,
· have a minimum of 5 years in electrical system integration or related experience,
· have knowledge of relevant industry standards (RTCA/DO-160, SAE, MIL-STD, etc) and are familiar with airworthiness (TCCA, FAA, EASA) Regulations and Advisory Materials pertaining to Electrical,
· are comfortable working in a team, and can interact with other functional areas, including airworthiness, manufacturing, and other engineering disciplines to achieve common goals,
· have good oral and technical writing skills. French is an asset,
· can work autonomously and demonstrate initiative to achieve the goals allocated for you,
· are motivated to learn and work on multiple projects at the same time.
Position Details:
· Located at Bombardier Montréal, Québec or Bombardier Toronto, Ontario.
· The position is currently a hybrid of working remotely from home and on-site work.
